Antibiotic and anti-inflammatory ophthalmic ointment

Ilium Chloroint Eye Ointment is an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory ophthalmic ointment designed for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis and inflammatory eye conditions in dogs and cats. It contains 10 mg/g of chloramphenicol for antibacterial action and 5 mg/g of hydrocortisone acetate for anti-inflammatory effects. The ointment is applied by instilling a strip of approximately 1 cm into the lower conjunctival sac (inner eyelid) and is used 2 to 3 times daily or as prescribed by a veterinarian. It is important to avoid use if the eye has a known or suspected corneal ulcer unless under veterinary supervision. The ointment is stored below 30°C and should be discarded after expiry.
